A notoriously overtired master baker Oliver Maibach has been working late at night in the family bakery to provide fresh bread and rolls together with his mother Elisabeth. One day, when he meets the attractive cellist Greta, the widowed father begins to doubt whether his future lies in this never-changing daily grind. Elisabeth also has her problems: in order to spare her friend Kemal Yildirim, a greengrocer, from being deported to Turkey, she unceremoniously walks him down the aisle.

The impressive result of an elaborate concert film production in Berlin's Admiralspalast, which documents the entire artistic output of this unique line-up. Max Raabe and his colleagues from the Palast Orchester are always on the lookout for something special when selecting their musical repertoire and so this production is anything but an ordinary concert recording. This first live production since the successful albums "Küssen kann man nicht allein" and "Für Frauen ist das kein Problem" is a musical snapshot of recent concert programs. The modern compositions from the last two albums together with the repertoire from the 1920s and 1930s form a harmonious whole. One Night in Berlin is a unique concert film and a highlight in the releases of Max Raabe & Palastorchester.
